What an amazingly crazy weekend for Buffalo! We hosted general managers from the NHL AND NWHL, a city’s worth of prospective talent, and left with some pretty great stories and some pretty great players.

Buffalo was well represented in both the NHL draft and the NWHL’s free agency camp, as local talent was put on full display. WNY native Austin Osmanski was drafted by the Sabres in the seventh round, and got to experience that amazing dream come true with his family.

Across the street, Buffalo’s own Jacquie Greco joined Buffalo State graduate Tara Boliard and many other perspective candidates for the NWHL’s second season. Of course, the Queen City’s newest transplant Hayley Williams joined us to talk about the offseason and her experience at the camp.

In this episode, we wax poetic about dreams of Steven Stamkos, discuss Alexander Nylander, and grumble about Dmitry Kulikov. We also discuss some of the players who stood out in the first two sessions of the camp and predict the signing of Beauts defender Sarah Casorso.

Another fantastic volume from the quality folks at 716 Sports Podcast, but don’t take my word for it. Check out Justen, Mike, and Erik, who are joined by fan-favorite Hayley Williams. Just click play.
